The overlook trail is a looping trail near the main overlooks and park office. It is fairly short, taking only about 30 minutes to complete. It is a fairly easy trail, though definitely not for people with mobility issues. The final climb back up at the end is a bit steep, and the path is packed and loose dirt, so it isn't wheelchair accessible by any means.
Along the trail are the ruins of an old incinerator. It is best described as a small stone structure, the main stacks have fallen or been removed.
Otter View is along this trail. It is okay, I have an image from the viewpoint in the album. It is nice, but not spectacular.
And again, the walk back up at the very end can be steep (see photos).
Overall, I would say this is a trail that should be done if possible. It isn't much, but adds to the experience by getting the visitor into the woods and really immersed in how large the canyon is. It doesn't take a lot of time or effort and almost seems integral to the general overlook experience.
