Marilla-Bridges Trail

Jesse

Marilla-Bridges trail is a walking path in Bradford, PA. It is a gravel trail that walks around a dammed reservoir. There are 3 bridges that cross over the dam, and two in-flowing streams.

There are a couple of trails that spur off of the main loop. I didn't go down any, when I stopped by it was raining/threatening to rain, so I didn't want to risk getting far away from my car. The main circle is nice, it crosses the covered bridge, stops by the bird watch, and returns back through the forest to the start.

The main loop is very level and would provide no trouble for anyone, a wheelchair could handle the trail with no issue. The side trails looked like normal outdoorsy trails that may provide problems for people with mobility issues, more like packed earth hiking trails rather than walking trails.

I would say eh about this place. It is a nice place, and you could probably spend the better part of a day just walking all the trails. But, there are other attractions in the region (such as Kinzua Bridge and Allegheny National Forest) that provide more spectacular experiences. The main covered bridge is right by the parking lot, so if all you want to see is that, it would take only a few minutes. If you want something off the beaten path that is probably not as crowded, this is a good spot, but it also lacks the spectacle of other places.
